WHO WE ARE/ IOWA BASSET RESCUE

We are a small shelter/ BASSET RESCUE in Sioux City, IA, and take in only the love of our lives, BASSET HOUNDS , we would love to find them new, loving-homes. All of our Basset Hounds are altered unless they are to young to be altered and up to date on shots (THESE BABIES WILL BE ON A STATE CONTRACT WITH 30 DAYS TO BE ALTERED BY ADOPTERS VET. All Basset Hounds are adorable (^^IOWA MAY NOT BE HEAVEN, BUT TO THE HOUNDS WE HAVE RESCUED,WE LOOK LIKE ANGELS^^), please call to set up a time to come look for yourself! and yes we do home visits prior to placing one of our bassets in a new loving home setting .We do home visits after words to to see how you are doing with your new basset. IF YOU NEED US TO ONLY. We do also try to help out other breeds if we have room. WE WILL HELP TRANSPORT FOR OTHER RESCUES IF NEEDED TO.  

IA BASSET RESCUE’S MISSION OF STATEMENT 

Our mission has always been to make life better for BASSETS by: 

 1) Rescuing and ministering to the indigent BASSET population.  

2) Providing shelter, love and medical care for all of our BASSETS until they find a loving homes.  

3) Promoting responsible pet ownership. Providing on-going adoption support services to ensure a lifetime commitment from pet owners. 

4) Eliminating animal cruelty through education.  

5) Helping to reduce animal over-population with low-cost spay/neuter referral programs.  

6) Fostering a respect for all living creatures. 

7) RESCUED ONCE, LOVED FOR A LIFE TIME. 

Adopting a friend AS A BASSET HOUND THEY ARE , A COMPANION, A BEDTIME PARTNER, A WINDOW ART MAKER, A LAP DOG, A DISH WASHER , A HUNTER, A SNIFFER,  A HOWLER, A WADDLER NOT A WALKER. A  EATER, A TRUCK RIDER, A FACE  MAKER & WASHER IF NEED TO BE, A DROOER AND MOST OF ALL A LISTENER. 

Animals(OUR RESCUED BASSETS ) reside at area shelters, or with their owners, or foster homes who are checked on and approved before fostering and are seen by appointments with their care providers.

Adoption fees vary from animal to animal depending upon the veterinary care that has been provided to the animal while in the

 ALSO WHEN YOU ADOPT WE DO TELL YOU THE MONEY GOES ON THE DOGS WE DO NOT POCKET THE MONEY IF YOU NEED TO BRING BACK A DOG THERE IS NO ADOPTION MONEY COMING BACK ITS DONATED AND IT IS TAX DEDUCTABLE .
